I am very pleased with the Pergear LaserStorm S10. The laser is really powerful and I'm able to engrave metal and thick wood which I haven't been able to do with other comparable Laser engravers. The added eye protection built into the laser makes me feel very secure in using this machine. I decided to be extra careful and wear googles but they are optional. The machine itself was pretty easy to assemble though I wish the images in the manual were a little larger. There are plenty of instructional videos online to assemble it so I was able to get it constructed quickly regardless. Another great thing about this laser engraver is the size and lightweight portability. It weights next to nothing which is awesome if you have multiple workspaces like me.Overall I really recommend this laser for it's sleek construction, powerful laser for versatile projects, ease of use and safety measures built into it.Outstanding quality for Price laser works extremely well very impressed cuts puzzles nicelyThis laser is really fun - if it's your first time putting one together be sure to read the instructions and watch a couple videos first, but if you've put a 3D printer together you'll manage just fine. These lasers are great to work with. Strengths include engraving and marking - but the main weaknesses are speed and (to a lesser degree) area of coverage.Using a fan to extract the fumes is also a good idea - just because burning some stuff can be toxic. That being said, this is a fantastic (and useful) little tool, and it's an affordable entry into the world of production lasers. The machine is pretty easy to assemble - pay close attention to the orientation of the bars (the printing on the manual sheet is pretty small), just so you don't have to go back and change anything. Contact their tech support for help if need be, and they'll square you away. You can use free programs to run the laser, but I use one called LightBurn - it's got really good tools and is easy to work with. Lightburn can also integrate with a camera and other lasers in case you decide to add another laser later (which you probably will, if you get the bug). All in all I do recommend this laser - it's a nice little tool! This is an amazing laser cutter! I new to this but am very impressed with the power of this laser at least on wood so far.I took off a star for the instructions, being new to this I had a bit of trouble putting it together and I didn’t want to damage it in any way. Better written instructions would be cool and a little better video on the company website would be good although it was sufficient in the end. Once you get it, it’s not hard but as a first timer, I did have a bit of trouble, and one screw by the control unit would not screw in and I tried for a very long time to screw it in.The performance of the laser is the star! It is pretty impressive to watch-this also has built in eye protection, but I am really careful around my animals using it.There are so many things to try with this. So far my endeavors have been simple but I hope to grow with this and try all kinda of things. The software is a learning curve as well but they are with any method of using and transferring and adjusting files on the computer. This machine will also use a usb storage device for using designs without being hooked up to a PC. I am going to buy a cheap Windows tablet to take out to the garage and I would like to design my own files for use. There is so much to do! Great item!!Pergear laserstorm l5 laser engraver . Great bit of kit having had a few diffeeant laser setups this as got to be the best build quality althought it's a clone of a highly priced machine it is actually a solid machine an feels quality finishined in black with measuring guides on x axix an y axis wing nuts to adjust the z carriage controller board is hidden a secure surround connections easy to fit an wires are braided looks like a high-end system connected to lighbirn no problems within 20 mins had it built didn't need instructions which came printed in full colour Manuel an an atomstack laser too boot I paid Penny's for for this machine Amazon prime day £67 I'm still waiting for the police to come ???I bought this for my girlfriend for her birthday and it's got me some huge browney points, it's a great bit of kit and so so accurate. Couldn't recommend it more!good laser not so good cutting acryllic but does cut it after several rounds excellent for balsa bamboo craft woods excellentquality of the material is great. I can say well worth, but when it comes to the laser itself, it's not strong enough, I will suggest if you want to buy this? Buy the 10W output, strong laser. But what I have is 5W output so when it comes to cutting, it takes forever or sometimes it doesn't cut all the way, you need to help to separate the cuttings. When it comes to pricing, I can say is to much. I bought the 5S model for more than 500$, when the laser itself is made by ATOMStack M40 model. I should go buy at Atomstack instead, way cheaper. I though Pergear 5S include the air assist as like advertise and price, but no air assist included, so I order air assist in pergear also, but They couldn't deliver it to me. I live in Canada so IDK what's the reason why I have no air assist. I cannot recommend this as there are more competitive manufacturer in here, other than that it's a good material built.
