I have only been using the device for about 4 weeks. It says to do twice a week for 8 weeks, so I'm halfway through that first step. I have had laser hair done professionally in the past, however it was a long time ago, resulting in some hair returning which is why I looked at this device. Some areas I'm doing now have been treated in the past, and some areas are brand new to it. I will update my review when I have a better idea of if this product actually gives me the results I am looking for. Until then I will review my thoughts on just using the product.I researched a lot of the different devices before I made the decision to buy this one. It has a lot of really great features and people seemed to like it a lot so I wanted to try it. It is a little more expensive than some others, but you get what you pay for I believe. This model has a cooling function which is nice, 5 different intensity settings, and a manual or glide function. It is very easy to use with either hand, which is helpful when doing different areas. Sometimes you need to switch to reach better (back of legs, opposite underarms, etc). It comes packaged very professionally with a lot of documentation on how to use and it also outlines the warranty of the device, which is a really great warranty. They want to make sure you are satisfied with the product so the window for returns is quite large. The package comes with everything you need (protective glasses, the device, power cord, 2 additional heads for precision zapping, and a carrying pouch). I like that it needs to be plugged in, as opposed to battery operated. Imagine being in the middle of a session and the power decreasing and finally dying because it wasn't sufficiently charged. With having to plug it in, you won't ever have to worry about that. It has a counter on the screen that counts down for the number of zaps the device provides. I can't see it running out any time soon. It is easy to change between intensity levels and also to turn the cooling function on or off. I have tried the gliding function once, but I didn't really like it. I had a vision of it being like shaving, it zaps quickly as you glide. However I don't really think that's how it works. It just zaps every 3-5 seconds automatically, so you still have to move to the area, wait for the zap, then move to the next area. I find it no easier than just manually zapping when I move to the new area. I guess it would be helpful for someone who doesn't want to hit the trigger all the time. You can tell as you continue using it that the device gets warmer, but it hasn't overheated or gotten too hot at all. So far, I think this is a great product and I highly recommend it.UPDATE: I have been using this now for a few months, I am at the point where I use it once a week, and in a couple weeks I will be at the stage to go to once a month. I have noticed a difference in hair growth. While it isn't 100% gone, it is way better than it was. I have uploaded one photo of an underarm. It is hard to get good photos, but this is one weeks growth (I shaved and used the device Sunday, today is Saturday and I did not shave at all this week). I think this product is definitely worth it, it is easy to use, a time saver instead of going to a salon, and in the end will save you money. I think it is important that you pay attention to the areas you hit with the device, to make sure you are getting the same spots. Perhaps that is why they suggest twice a week for the first couple of months, just to make sure if you miss spots.I was definitely skeptical about trying this type of hair removal, but with the awesome warranty, I decided to give it a try. First, it's really pretty and came packaged like a high-end item. I highly recommend reading through the directions first, because there are some cool features that you might miss otherwise. My favorite is the continuous setting. My legs take about 30-45 minutes, so not having to constantly push the flash makes the process easier. As for pain, there really isn't much until you get into the higher settings. On levels one-three, it felt like a rubber band being lightly snapped on the skin, but you don't notice it after a few flashes. Levels four or five are much more noticeable, but again, after I get going, I don't notice it. I purposely didn't shave for a week so I could show how this is working. You won't have miraculously hairless legs right away. I have been using this for about 1-2 times/week for a month, and as you can see in the picture, I have sparse areas now that have become larger as I continue. The hair that does reappear is much thinner (I typically have coarse, dark hair, so per the directions, I was a good candidate for this). I figure I have a few more months until it's all gone. I just catch up on my favorite shows while I do this. I have not had any inflammation or irritation after using this, and I still have over 900,000 flashes left, so this is a bargain! It is easy to use once you get the hang of it. After figuring out how to use the cooling feature by pressing the snowflake button twice and then setting it for continuous by holding down the trigger button until you see the continuous setting on the screen, it became easier to use. I use setting 2 for my medium to dark hair. Prior, even after shaving I could still see the dark hair underneath. You need to use at least 2x weekly. So far, it has been a month and less hair growth, needing to shave less often. I figured if I could take off some of my morning routine, I could save a lot of time in the am.my hair is often so dark that even after shaving my legs, halfway through the day it looks like i never shaved them. This is money well spent. I may look into buying the laser device for aging skin next. This treatment would take forever in a medispa and the prices for multiple treatments would add up. I do feel a slight zing at times on the 2 number. I tried to go up to 3 but I could not handle it.I am very pleased. Started using the IPL a little over a month ago, twice a week. The hair on my upper legs is completely gone, I am just maintaining now. The hair on my lower legs is almost gone as well, growing back much more slowly. I am finding very little need to shave at all, and expect to be just maintaining within a week or so. (The picture is one week after the last shave.) The IPL is easy to use, although it takes a little time. I especially like the cooling feature, since it allows me to keep using without pauses for it to cool down. Overall, I am quite happy with the IPL, and excited because most importantly, IT WORKS.Okay, I’m writing this because in the past I have wasted money at expensive laser hair removal salons. They don’t tell you at first but you have to go back many more times to get rid of the hair completely. I’m a guy who gets stray neck, beard, back-even ear hairs. I was a little apprehensive to buy this but have been using this it now for three months, and it WORKS. After one session, the hairs grew back slower and with less hair follicles. Look how clean my neckline is now!No more wasting money and I get to control the whole experience! It’s incredibly simple to use after reading the enclosed information. They send everything you need, including reference information- and it’s a great looking machine! Kudos for saving me money!Apenas empecé a usarlo, más adelante volvere a actualizar y escribir si funciona bien. Caja cerrada, entrega en tiempo y aparato funcionando al 100.Muy contenta con esta compra
